Good everyone!

How are you today? Pretty good? I'm happy to read it! If not, as always, take care of yourself because that's what comes first. What are we going to talk about today? From a novel called The Order of Cobalt, the latter was written by Sébastien Sabat. Thereupon... Let's go to the summary!

"It was three centuries ago and we were just starting to get over it." Humanity had come close to extinction after the Clash and the survivors had had to start from scratch with their meagre resources. An opportunity to rebuild a civilization without falling back into the old mistakes. But was it really possible? It was one of the many questions that the murder of the Reborn New York Champion would ask and Jackson Calder, a detective medium by trade, had no desire to answer it. But history was not going to ask him for his opinion.

This novel is a beautiful play that is a quick read as soon as you enter the story. The latter has no length, which is positive for the reader and for me. In terms of writing, it is impactful and immersed me throughout, allowing me to visualize what was happening without difficulty. The cynical tone was also pleasant when the latter appeared during the chapters. This element may or may not appeal to people, as I know it may be a problem for some people.

We discover the characters over the chapters, they take shape a little more during the dialogues, the choices. Their stories appear, may or may not touch, can make the reader appreciate this or that protagonist. One or the other will always end up pleasing, others may make you want to be shaken or slapped because of their behaviors, their ways of being. That's what's pleasant, I think, because everyone can find elements that they like.

Black humour is linked to adventures, betrayal, bonds, but also to fights and misunderstandings that can appear. These elements give the story a depth that remains important to allow the desire to continue reading, to provoke curiosity and it is won at this level. The writer having done a good job and having a pen pleasant to follow despite the length that could scare some people.

Because yes, many people prefer smaller books so that they can be transported more easily even if the ebook format helps a lot in this area. Others have a hard time because even if they like the story, they feel a weariness over time, a desire for change... Which I can understand. So yes, such a brick is a bias that may or may not attract people.

For my part, I didn't have too much trouble seeing that I was reading it in an ebook and as soon as I immersed myself in the story, I was totally absorbed. I had a good time until the final page and that's what matters, I find especially on such a trip. I thank the author for this beautiful discovery which allowed me to discover a new world.
