Hooooooy!
Shall we meet again? I'm delighted! So let's continue our literary journey. Today, we're joining the Rune Keeper, a fantasy world full of mysteries.
After a visit from a mysterious wanderer, Cirgil, a child of the Village, finds himself trapped in an armor from which he can only free himself by reaching a citadel set in a deep valley of the Khaladrunes. The road ahead will be long and full of pitfalls, especially for an inexperienced young man who is not an adventurer. However, it is in the mountains that Cirgil will meet his destiny and discover who he really is.
I really enjoyed discovering the author's writing, the latter full of fluidity and having drawn me into his universe. The universe is captivating, we discover many things about it over the pages, even if I would have liked to know more about some elements including, well, the characters themselves. However, the latter have a real presence, pleasant temperaments.
Not only them, by the way, because animals also have an endearing side. In doing so, I followed and discovered this beautiful world with pleasure, despite this feeling of too little at the end, this desire as mentioned to know more about them, about the guardian of the runes. Brief... My curiosity was touched and in real demand at the end.
As for the pages, I read them quickly. Devoured, even, would be the right word. I didn't see the time go by and it was a real pleasure to walk through them, to see this world and everything around it. The landscapes seemed beautiful, I would have really lost myself in it if it was possible.
The story, on the other hand, moves quickly and is full of mysteries, which are solved little by little, the magic present also putting stars in our eyes. For some, it may be too fast, but it was okay in my eyes. The pace made it so that I wasn't bored.
As you can see, although not a favorite, The Guardian of the Runes by Cédric Moulin was a pleasant read, allowing me to have a good time by allowing me to escape into his universe.
And you, did you know him? Would you plan to dive into it?
