Hello everyone, how are you?
Everything's going well here. As you can see, everything is slowly moving forward. It's not huge, unlike some others, but I'm proud of myself. Well, with that, I hope you're ready for a new adventure!
Chase Hawkins finds himself hired for a routine robbery. His goal, for a tidy sum: to steal a valuable ring.
Chased by the police through the alleys of Oxford Street, he crashes into a wall after losing control of his motorcycle. Instead of meeting a tragic end, he wakes up on a beach, teased by a talking crab. What he doesn't yet know is that this shore belongs to one of the many islands of Nyár, one of the six parallel Worlds to Earth. Chase could have landed there at any time, but here he is at the worst possible moment...
The Crystal Hunt is on! Who will collect these twelve artifacts, symbols of the ducal families, and claim the crown?
Between the cover and the summary, it's hard not to be drawn to the novel at the moment and... And it's a nice surprise! We know what we're getting into without any nasty surprises, which isn't always the case. The action is there from the start, kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the novel even if the change of character can be surprising. This isn't an element that everyone will enjoy or that might put some people off reading. For my part, this wasn't the case, being used to it, but I preferred to point it out.
The characters are colorful, I had no trouble recognizing them over time and there will probably be one that you like more than others or even several, it happens after all! The construction of the latter is coherent, captivates and tickles curiosity. You probably suspect it, but they are interconnected, whether in terms of the lore or the adventures that take place throughout the novel. The pen draws you into its universe, is fluid for my greatest pleasure as for the competitive side present in the work, it is not at all boring. It adds a little something really gripping, a touch of mystery about who will win in the end.
Personally, the whole thing really got to me. Curiosity was present for each of them, the fact of not knowing what would happen and the stress at certain moments also appearing. Nothing is easy and the novel shows it well, for everyone and we wonder who will end up winning the title of King or Queen. But it is not yet possible to guess, to know it in this first volume! Which is not so bad, it would be sad otherwise… Besides, I know that some might grumble about that, want more elements to tell themselves that it will be such and such. After… Isn't it already possible to think about it and move towards certain ones? It's up to you to answer when you read it!
For my part, I'm really looking forward to discovering the second volume and seeing what happens there. I was delighted to dive into this first volume, which could, however, lose some people given the number of protagonists and the names used. Others will be delighted. As always, it depends on each person, and for my part, I'm eagerly awaiting the next volume!
And you, do you know?

Oh, that sounds interesting, although, given my memory, I might get a bit lost if there are a lot of characters.
It was on my side at this level, but for some it can be complex, yes!
Hello 😀 Here the author, it's just to let you know that there is an index of families and the characters who are part of them to find your way around the novel (because I also have a small memory, I thought it could help people like me). In any case, each point of view is named and I make a few reminders, in case you are a little afraid. Thank you in any case for your lovely feedback. Whether you read it or not, it makes me very happy! <3
Hi!! True, I didn't think to note it while I was writing my review, thank you for this addition which will allow people to be reassured at the time 😀
You're welcome! I tried to be as thorough as possible during my writing to put everything I felt on virtual paper and I hope it will attract the curious <3
