How are you today? I'm fine, and I'm going to take you into a new, different world. To give you a first impression, I'll leave you with the summary.

While hunting the abominable 4, the white gorilla with the black mask, Chloé, the former dachshund inspector, enters a magical portal in the dilapidated premises of Teckelogie de la Bêtise, the largest – and only – temporal agency in Inspirerre.

Unfortunately, an incident throws her into the distant past – that of the Eras of Mute, Blind and Deaf – the novels that preceded her own literary saga.

Accompanied by the small but heroic Josie, the young and brilliant Johan and the powerful warrior Manon, she must travel the mysterious corridors of time in order to hope to return home.

Can Chloe and her new friends survive the time traps that mark their path and put an end to the dangerous paradox that threatens their four worlds?

This novel will not appeal to everyone, that's for sure given the offbeat side that we find in it and yet, it changes from what we usually know. Nothing is smooth, everything is atypical and remains in the mind as you read. I was surprised many times by the events, the reactions and even if there is a reminder of other characters or passages from previous novels - which I have not read -, it did not pose a problem for me to discover this one.

The characters all have something to share with the reader, allowing us to discover parts of their lives, their experiences and what is happening as well. Their points of view, their ways of speaking, everything is different and makes them unique for the pleasure of the reader who finds himself immersed in their stories. Those who cannot tolerate the violence and cruelty in the works will not be able to bear what happens in the novel, others will be able to appreciate it without too much problem.

The story itself is not the easiest to follow, so other people might have trouble not getting lost, and it can be moving at times. The atmosphere remains easy to understand despite everything if you get hooked on it because the writing is fluid, gripping, imaginative and lively, to the point of immersing me in the universe, turning my stomach at times or making me react. Questions also appear throughout the pages, more psychological, ethical or even societal aspects are shown, titillating the mind.

It's not a favorite, but I had a good time! I think that those who have read the other adventures will perhaps have a very different opinion, will see specific elements that probably seemed trivial to me and that's a good thing, it allows several levels of reading. I am sure that for people, this story could be one of the titles of the year when they read it given its atypical side. On that note, I leave you and I hope that my opinion will have helped you a little in relation to the title to make you want to read it or not!
